New Doors and Windows.

Spring is here and the weather is beautiful.  It was a great day to get our new doors. The installers arrived early and quickly pulled out the old doors:

And he are the intallers carrying one of the 2 large picture windows being replaced on the back wall of the house. It weighs 435 pounds. The older ones rattled everytime someone closed or opened a door in the house or if the wind blew. I think they were original windows from 1969.

And here are the new doors being installed. Again, the old doors would rattle and shake. The new ones are brown to match the wood surrounding instead of silver, and they are also heavy duty and double paned. The doors are from Fleetwood and we ordered them through A1 Glass of Modesto.

And now some Before and Afters:

And another view... Before and After:

  1. From 1969? That's quite old. Perhaps you can have it estimated by an antique seller. You never know. In any case, the new doors and windows fit the outside view better. Hopefully, they'll last as long as those windows from 1969.
